The Radialsystem is a cultural center located on Holzmarktstraße in Berlin, Friedrichshain. It consists of the “Monument Protection” building from the former sewage pumping station as well as a new part of the building added in 2006, which encloses and bridges the old building. The Radialsystem presents an interdisciplinary program from the fields of dance, music and music theater which as a result sees itself as the “anchor institution of Berlin’s independent scenes”. For the large historic hall, we planned an immersive sound system with sound control where the room acoustics as well as a rigging system were done with chain hoists and cable systems. Based on our plans, the house was equipped with a fiber optic network, which enables flexible use for a wide variety of event formats.
